VOICE CHANGESYour voice starts to change and gets deeper (it may “crack” at first).
FACE & CHEST CHANGESThe size and shape of your face and chest start to change. Hair growth may begin on your face and chest.
CHANGES IN PENIS AND TESTICLESYour penis and testicles begin to grow larger. You start having more frequent erections and nocturnal emissions (“wet dreams”).
FEELINGS & EMOTIONSYou start having changes in feelings, moods and emotions. For example, you might have a new interest in sex or you may feel sad or angry more often than you did before.
SKIN CHANGESAcne or pimples may start to appear and skin may be oilier.
BODY ODORYour body odor starts to change – and becomes more noticeable.
HAIR GROWTHYou start to notice armpit and pubic hair. You may also notice thicker, darker or more hair in other places on your face, body and legs.
GROWTH SPURTSYou might get taller very quickly (females usually start getting taller faster than males). Your hands, feet, arms and legs might get longer and bigger. You may gain weight and get bigger in some places and smaller in others. You might notice muscles you didn’t see before
STRETCH MARKSSome people get little “stretch marks” (tiny scars), where skin was pulled from growing so fast (these usually fade with time).
FACE CHANGESThe shape of your face starts to change.
CHANGES IN BREASTSYour breasts start to grow and change (this often happens before menstruation begins).
MENSTRUATION BEGINSThe start of menstruation (or “getting your period”) begins.
CHANGES IN BODY SHAPEYour hips start to widen and other parts of your body change and may be curvier.
